Cottages and waterfront in Central Manitoulin
Central Manitoulin was incorporated in 1998. Mindemoya is its main village, with a grocery store, hospital and services used by cottagers across the island. Lake Mindemoya is on the edge of the village, most of Lake Manitou lies to the east around Sandfield, and the south end of Lake Kagawong is at Long Bay. Providence Bay, on the Lake Huron side, has a long sand beach. It is a natural first stop for buyers who want an inland lake cottage.
