What Kennisis Lake is like
Kennisis is one of the largest lakes in the county. Big Kennisis and Little Kennisis are connected, and the two together run about 11.5 km end to end. The water is clear and deep, and lake trout have been stocked here since 1925. Haliburton Forest borders the lake to the north and east. Access is by Kennisis Lake Road from West Guilford. The cottages date mostly from the late 1950s onward.
