Cottages and waterfront in French River
The Municipality of French River was incorporated in 1999 and lies in the Sudbury East area. Noelville and Alban are its main villages. The French River runs through the municipality, with road access points and marinas at places such as Wolseley Bay. To the east, around Monetville, the municipality reaches Lake Nipissing and its West Arm. Cottages, lodges and year-round homes are spread along both waters, and many river properties are reached by boat.
