What Lake Joseph is like
Lake Joseph lies west of Lake Rosseau and is shared by the Township of Muskoka Lakes and Seguin Township. It connects to Lake Rosseau through the cut at Port Sandfield and by the Joseph River. Cottaging began on the northern islands in the 1870s. Today it is among the most expensive waterfront in Ontario, with large lots, deep water off the rock and many island properties. Foot's Bay, Port Sandfield, Gordon Bay and Port Cockburn are the local landings.
