Ramara has a long stretch of Lake Simcoe shoreline, lined with beach communities such as Bayshore Village, Mara Beach and Brechin Beach. Lagoon City is a canal community where homes have boat slips at the door. Farther north, the township follows Lake Couchiching and takes in Lake St. John near Longford Mills. Casino Rama is next door on Rama First Nation land. Most waterfront is road access with wells and septic systems.
