What Lake Muskoka is like
Lake Muskoka is the largest lake in the district. Most of it lies in the Township of Muskoka Lakes, the southeast corner is in Gravenhurst, and a small area at the mouth of the Muskoka River is in Bracebridge. The shore is granite and pine with many islands, and cottages range from modest cabins to large estates. Boaters can lock through at Port Carling to Lake Rosseau. Gravenhurst, Bala and Port Carling have marinas, fuel and groceries.
