What Sturgeon Lake is like
Sturgeon Lake is about 25 km from end to end and up to 3 km wide. Fenelon Falls is at the northwest tip, Bobcaygeon is at the northeast, and the Scugog River comes in from Lindsay at the south. Sturgeon Point sits near the middle. That layout means most cottages are a short boat ride or drive from a town. Bass, walleye and muskie are the main sport fish.
