Cottages and waterfront in Burpee and Mills
Burpee and Mills was formed in 1998 when Burpee Township annexed the unorganized township of Mills. It is one of the least populated parts of Manitoulin. Evansville is the main community, with Elizabeth Bay on the North Channel side. The township stretches across the island, so it has shoreline on both the north and south coasts. Buyers come here for large lots, privacy and low traffic, and accept a longer drive to Gore Bay for supplies.
