Cottages and waterfront in Hilton
Hilton Township was incorporated in 1883 and covers the southeast part of St. Joseph Island. It surrounds Hilton Beach, a separate village of about 200 people with a marina and waterfront. The township itself is rural, with farms, maple bush and the community of Milford Haven. Cottages and homes sit along the east shore of the island. Highway 548 links the township to Richards Landing and the bridge to the mainland.
