Lambton Shores was formed in 2001 and takes in Grand Bend, Port Franks, Ipperwash Beach, Forest, Thedford and Arkona. Grand Bend is the busy beach town, with a main strip that runs down to the sand. Port Franks is quieter, with cottages and homes on the Ausable River and its side channels. Ipperwash has a long, shallow sand beach lined with cottages. Forest and Thedford are the inland service towns.
