Cottages and waterfront in Selwyn
Selwyn was called Smith-Ennismore-Lakefield until 2013. It is one of the more settled waterfront townships in the county, and many lake homes here are lived in all year. Lakefield is on the Otonabee River below Katchewanooka Lake. Bridgenorth and Ennismore face each other across Chemong Lake and are joined by a causeway. The township also has frontage on Buckhorn, Lower Buckhorn, Clear and Stony lakes. Peterborough is a short drive from most of it.
