Cottages and waterfront in Rideau Lakes
Rideau Lakes township was formed in 1998 from North Crosby, South Crosby, Bastard and South Burgess, South Elmsley and the village of Newboro. It holds most of the canal lakes in the counties, plus the Beverley lakes at Delta, and the township counts about 500 km of shoreline apart from the canal itself. Portland, Newboro, Chaffeys Lock and Jones Falls are the boating villages. Cottages range from century-old island camps to new four-season builds. Elgin and Westport cover daily needs.
