What Stony Lake is like
Stony Lake straddles the line between the Canadian Shield and the limestone country to the south. It is known for its rock islands, many with a single cottage, and for some of the most sought-after waterfront in the Kawarthas. Burleigh Falls and Young's Point are the nearest villages. Many properties are island or water access, served by marinas and landings on the mainland. Petroglyphs Provincial Park is near the east end.
