Cottages and waterfront in Trent Lakes
Trent Lakes was called Galway-Cavendish and Harvey until 2013. It is mostly forest on the Canadian Shield, with pink granite in the north and limestone along its southern edge. In the south, cottages line Pigeon, Buckhorn and Lower Buckhorn lakes on the Trent-Severn Waterway. Farther north, along County Road 507, are the deeper lakes around Catchacoma, next to Kawartha Highlands Provincial Park. Buckhorn is the main village and is shared with Selwyn.
