Cottages and waterfront in Huron Shores
The Municipality of Huron Shores was created in 1999 from several townships and the village of Iron Bridge. Iron Bridge, on the Mississagi River, has the municipal offices. Sowerby and Little Rapids are the other main communities. The municipality has North Channel shoreline, islands and a number of inland lakes and rivers with public access. Cottages and rural homes are widely spread, and Thessalon and Blind River are the nearest towns for supplies.
