What Balsam Lake is like
Balsam Lake is the highest point on the Trent-Severn Waterway. From here the route drops east toward Lake Ontario and west toward Georgian Bay. The lake is about 16 km long with many large bays, so there is room for sailing and long cruises. Balsam Lake and Indian Point provincial parks are on the north shore. Coboconk is at the north end, and Rosedale is on the way to Cameron Lake.
