Cottage Connect ("we", "us") runs cottageconnect.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it and the choices you have. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

What we collect

• Information you give us. Your name, email address, phone number, the property or lake you ask about, and anything you write in a form, a tour request or a saved search.
• Account activity. If you create a free account, we record the listings you view while signed in, the searches you save and the listings you compare or like, so we can show you relevant properties.
• Technical information. Your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, collected through server logs and cookies that keep you signed in.

How we use it

• To answer your questions, book showings and prepare the evaluations or sold prices you ask for.
• To send the listing alerts you sign up for.
• To contact you by phone, text or email about your real estate needs. You can opt out at any time.
• To keep the site secure and understand how it is used.

Who we share it with

Your information is shared with Will Balo, Sales Representative, RE/MAX Experts, and with the preferred realtors and service providers who help respond to your request, such as our customer relationship management and email delivery providers. We do not sell your personal information.

Listing data

Listing information comes from the PropTx MLS® system and is provided for consumers' personal, non-commercial use. Access to full listing details may require a free account, as set out in the MLS® rules.

Cookies

We use cookies that are needed for the site to work, such as keeping you signed in, and your browser's local storage to remember the listings you compare or like. You can clear these in your browser settings.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe. Every listing alert email has an unsubscribe link. You can also reply STOP to any text message.
• Access and correction. You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you.
• Close your account. Email us and we will delete your account and saved searches.

Keeping it safe

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, and we keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires.
