Prescott is a compact river town that was once part of Augusta township and became a separate town in 1849. Fort Wellington National Historic Site stands near the water, and the town has a marina and a riverside park. Waterfront property is limited to in-town river lots and condominiums on full services. The river is broad here, with views across to Ogdensburg, New York. Highway 401 and Highway 416 are both minutes away, so Ottawa is an easy drive.
