Westport is an independent village surrounded by Rideau Lakes township. It sits at the head of Upper Rideau Lake, the summit of the Rideau Canal. Foley Mountain Conservation Area overlooks the village and has about 9 km of trails. In-village waterfront is limited and tends to be year-round homes. Most buyers looking near Westport end up on Upper Rideau, Wolfe Lake or the smaller lakes to the west. The village has groceries, restaurants and a marina.
