What North Channel is like
The North Channel runs along the north shore of Lake Huron from Georgian Bay in the east to the St. Marys River in the west. Manitoulin, Cockburn and St. Joseph islands shelter it from the open lake. The water is dotted with rock islands and anchorages, and small ports such as Little Current, Kagawong, Gore Bay and Blind River supply boaters. Cottage property ranges from mainland lots off Highway 17 to private islands. Only two roads cross it.
