What Agnew Lake is like
Agnew Lake was created when the Big Eddy Dam was built on the Spanish River in 1920. It lies mainly in Sables-Spanish Rivers, Baldwin, and Nairn and Hyman, and its east end reaches into Greater Sudbury near High Falls. The lake is narrow, with many bays and a very long shoreline for its size. Because it is a hydro reservoir, water levels can change. Camps and cottages are scattered along the roads that reach it.
