What Lake Panache is like
Lake Panache is a popular camp lake near Sudbury. Its name comes from the French word for antlers, after its branching shape, and the older English spelling Penage is still used. A small part lies inside Greater Sudbury, about 10 km south of Whitefish. Much of the lake can only be reached by boat from marinas at the ends of the two access roads. Part of the south shore borders Killarney Lakelands and Headwaters Provincial Park.
