What Golden Lake is like
Golden Lake is the second large lake on the Bonnechere River, downstream of Round Lake. Three townships share its shore. The Algonquins of Pikwakanagan First Nation are on the south side, and the hamlet of Golden Lake sits between Killaloe and Eganville. Cottages and year-round homes line the shore roads, and families like the sandy, gradual entry found in places. Eganville and Killaloe are the closest villages for supplies, and Pembroke is about 40 km north of the hamlet.
