What Bark Lake is like
Bark Lake sits where the Opeongo River joins the Madawaska, near the hamlet of Madawaska and close to Highway 60. A dam at the outlet regulates the river downstream, so the water level changes through the year. Bell Bay Provincial Park lies along the northern shore. Fish include lake trout, walleye, smallmouth bass and whitefish. Cottages are fewer and more spread out here than on Kamaniskeg Lake. Barry's Bay is the nearest full-service town.
- Lake trout and walleye
- Dam-controlled levels
- Quiet shoreline
