Cottages and waterfront in McNab/Braeside
McNab/Braeside was created in 1998 when the village of Braeside joined McNab township. It has three kinds of waterfront. The Ottawa River shore faces Chats Lake, the wide reach above the Chats Falls dam. The lower Madawaska River passes Burnstown and Stewartville. The village of White Lake sits on the north shore of the lake of the same name. Burnstown is about 85 km from downtown Ottawa, so many properties here are full-time homes.
