What White Lake is like
White Lake covers about 22.7 square kilometres and has roughly 98 km of shoreline, with many bays and islands. It took its present form in 1845, when a dam on Waba Creek raised the water over three smaller connected basins. The lake is warm and weedy in places, and largemouth bass and northern pike are the main catch. Cottages, camps and year-round homes are spread around the shore. Arnprior and Calabogie are the nearest larger service centres.
