Cottages and waterfront in Deep River
Deep River is a compact town laid out in the 1940s for workers at the nearby nuclear laboratories. It faces a long, deep stretch of the Ottawa River with forested Quebec hills on the far shore. The town has a public beach, a marina and a yacht and tennis club. Riverfront homes are on town services. A hospital, schools and shops make this one of the more self-contained small towns on the upper river.
