What Charleston Lake is like
Charleston Lake lies on the Frontenac Arch and has the granite shores to show for it. It covers about 26 square kilometres, reaches about 91 m deep and has well over 100 miles of shoreline. More than 800 summer and permanent residences share the lake, many of them on islands. Charleston Lake Provincial Park, at Outlet, takes in part of the shore there. The lake is the main headwater of the Gananoque River. Athens and Lansdowne are the nearest villages.
