Cottages and waterfront in Magnetawan
Magnetawan is in the Almaguin Highlands, on Highway 124 west of Burk's Falls. The village sits where the Magnetawan River leaves Lake Cecebe and drops through a hand operated lock, opened in 1886, into Ahmic Lake. Together the two lakes and the river give many kilometres of boating. Ahmic Harbour is the second small centre. Cottages here are mostly road access on wooded lots, and many have stayed in the same families for generations.
