Cottages and waterfront in Powassan
Powassan was formed in 2001 from the towns of Powassan and Trout Creek and the Township of South Himsworth. It is mainly a farming and service community on Highway 11, a short drive south of North Bay. The South River runs through the area. Waterfront here is mostly riverfront and small lake properties, not large cottage lakes. Buyers often choose Powassan for a rural home base within reach of Lake Nipissing and the Almaguin lakes.
