Eagle Lake is the centre of cottage life, with Mikisew Provincial Park on its shore, a narrows that is a local swimming spot and a golf course nearby. Bray Lake and King Lake are smaller options. The township is lightly populated, and about half of its dwellings are seasonal. Owners shop in South River or drive to Sundridge or North Bay.
