Cottages and waterfront in Joly
Joly was settled in the 1880s and incorporated in 1890, and today it is home to just under 300 people. It has no village of its own, so residents rely on nearby Sundridge, on Highway 11, for the arena, library and medical centre. The township keeps a public boat launch on Forest Lake and a public beach at Lynch Lake, and Algonquin Park lies a few kilometres past its eastern border.
Joly is part of Parry Sound & Almaguin. About 2.5 to 3.5 hours from Toronto.
