Cottages and waterfront in Papineau-Cameron
Papineau-Cameron covers more than 560 square kilometres and has about 1,000 residents. It lies along Highway 17 south of the Mattawa River and follows the Ottawa River downstream from Mattawa. The two original townships joined in 1992. Properties include Ottawa River frontage, river lots near the Mattawa and camps on small inland lakes, usually with plenty of land. The north side of Algonquin Park is not far to the south. Mattawa, minutes away, is the place for supplies.
