East Ferris has about 5,000 residents and two main communities, Corbeil and Astorville. The south shore of Trout Lake forms its northern edge, and Astorville sits at the western tip of Lake Nosbonsing. Because North Bay is so close, a large share of waterfront here is year-round housing, with older cottages mixed in. Highway 94 runs through Corbeil to Highway 17. It suits buyers who want lake living with a short commute to the city for work, school and shopping.
