Chisholm sits on the height of land between the Great Lakes and Ottawa River watersheds. The Wasi River drains west to Lake Nipissing, and Depot Creek runs north into Lake Nosbonsing. About 1,300 people live here, and the township office is at Chiswick. Wasi Lake is the main cottage lake, and a small part of the south shore of Lake Nosbonsing is also in the township. Powassan, Callander and North Bay are the nearest places to shop.
