What Lake Talon is like
Lake Talon is about 11 km long and under 2 km wide. The Mattawa River flows in from the west and leaves at Talon Chute on its way to the Ottawa River. The lake and most of its shore are part of Mattawa River Provincial Park, with Kaibuskong Bay left outside the park. Many summer cottages line the southern shore. It was part of the voyageur canoe route. Bonfield and Rutherglen are the nearest communities.
