What Galeairy Lake is like
Galeairy Lake is about 11 km long and reaches about 18 m deep. The village of Whitney is at its east end, and most of the lake to the west lies within Algonquin Park. That leaves private waterfront limited to the Whitney end, where cottages and a few lodges are found. Fish include lake trout, smallmouth bass and brook trout. Whitney has basic groceries, fuel and outfitters, and the east gate of the park is a few minutes away.
