What Cassels Lake is like
Cassels Lake, once called White Bear Lake, is about 15 km long and only about a kilometre wide. It has many islands and islets and drains into Rabbit Lake. The White Bear Forest on its western side holds white and red pine about 400 years old, now protected as a conservation reserve with hiking trails. The lake has portages and campsites used by canoe trippers. It lies close to the town of Temagami, with its stores and services.
