What Sparrow Lake is like
Sparrow Lake sits on the Severn River between Orillia and Gravenhurst, at the south edge of Muskoka. It is part of the Trent-Severn Waterway, so boaters can travel toward Lake Couchiching or downstream to Georgian Bay. The lake is fairly shallow and dotted with granite islands, and it is known for productive fishing. Resorts and family cottages have shared the shore for generations. It is one of the shortest drives from Toronto of any Muskoka lake.
