What Six Mile Lake is like
Six Mile Lake is in the Township of Georgian Bay, a few minutes off Highway 400 north of Port Severn. The shore is classic Shield rock and pine, with many narrow arms and islands, and a number of cottages are reached by boat. Six Mile Lake Provincial Park, opened in 1958, has beaches and a boat launch. The lake drains to Gloucester Pool at Whites Falls. Port Severn and MacTier are the nearest places for supplies.
