What Lower Buckhorn Lake is like
Lower Buckhorn Lake begins below Lock 31 at Buckhorn and runs east toward Lovesick Lake and Burleigh Falls. It has many small islands and a large southern bay called Deer Bay. Wolf Island Provincial Park, a non-operating park with no facilities, takes in Wolf and Grey Duck islands at the east end. The mix of granite, pine and sheltered channels makes this a favourite for cottagers who like to explore by small boat.
