Cavan Monaghan was known as Cavan-Millbrook-North Monaghan until 2007. Millbrook is the main village and has a historic main street that has been used as a film location. Highway 115 crosses the township, so it is the first part of the county you reach from Toronto. There is no major lakefront here. Buyers come for country homes, farms and village houses, then drive to Rice Lake or Chemong Lake for boating.
