What Katchewanooka Lake is like
Katchewanooka is about 8 km long and under 1 km wide. The waterway comes down from Clear Lake at Young's Point, passes through the lake and enters the Otonabee River just north of Lakefield. Lakefield College School is on the shore. The writer Susanna Moodie farmed beside the lake in the 1830s. Lakefield is minutes away for shops and restaurants, and Peterborough is a short drive.
