What Head Lake is like
This Head Lake is in the City of Kawartha Lakes, not the one in Haliburton village. It is about 8 km long and no more than 9 m deep. The Head River flows in and out, and its water runs to Georgian Bay, not to the Kawartha chain. The small community of Head Lake is on the south shore. Kawartha Lakes Road 45 follows the south and west sides.

- Quiet northern setting
