Cottages and waterfront in Kirkfield
Kirkfield is in the west of the city, between Balsam Lake and Lake Simcoe. Lock 36, the Kirkfield Lift Lock, is just north of the village. Canal Lake lies to the west and Mitchell Lake to the east, both shallow lakes on the waterway. Cottages here tend to be modest and close to the canal. The drive from the Toronto area is shorter than for most of the Kawarthas.
