Haldimand County is a single-tier municipality between Norfolk and Niagara. Its lakeshore is a string of cottage lanes and small communities, including Peacock Point, Selkirk, Featherstone Point, Hoover Point and Lowbanks. The Grand River reaches Lake Erie at Port Maitland, just south of Dunnville, and river properties with docks are common along that stretch. Rock Point Provincial Park is on the lake near Dunnville. Dunnville and Cayuga are the nearest towns for shopping.
