Cottages and waterfront in West Elgin
West Elgin was formed in 1998 from Aldborough Township and the village of West Lorne. Rodney and West Lorne are its two main villages, both a few minutes off Highway 401. On the lake, Port Glasgow has a small marina, a beach and a seasonal trailer park. The rest of the shore is mostly farmland on top of the bluff, with scattered lake-view homes. Buyers come here for space and privacy more than for a cottage town.
