Frontenac Islands is a township of islands off Kingston. Wolfe Island is the largest of the Thousand Islands, about 29 kilometres long, with the village of Marysville and a free ferry to Kingston. Howe Island and Simcoe Island also have ferry service and year-round residents. Waterfront is on open Lake Ontario, sheltered bays and the St. Lawrence channels. Big Sandy Bay on Wolfe Island has a large natural sand beach.
