Cottages and waterfront in Loyalist
Loyalist Township has two parts, the mainland and Amherst Island. The Loyalist Parkway follows the Lake Ontario shore through Bath, a village first settled in 1784, and ends at Amherstview. Lakefront homes line much of that road. Amherst Island lies about 3 kilometres offshore and is reached by ferry from Millhaven to Stella. It is quiet farm country with shoreline on every side. Kingston is a short commute.
