Cottages and waterfront in North Frontenac
North Frontenac sits entirely on the Canadian Shield. Far more of its dwellings are seasonal than year-round. Plevna and Ompah are the main hamlets, and Cloyne on Highway 41 serves the west side. Kashwakamak, Big Gull, Mississagagon and Palmerston lakes are the best known, and the east shore of Mazinaw Lake is here too. A large share of the township is Crown land, so many lakes have only a few cottages.
